Posting these so we can come back and check. The GEFS does show a more favorable pacific over the EPS. This is out there in fantasy land but always fun to check to see how they did. Miller Bs anyone? -PNAs do not excite me. I know overrunning and all....But until I start seeing arctic...

It is relevant if a pattern that is supposedly great for producing snow for most folks doesn't produce. Either the pattern really isn't that great and we can't get those patterns anymore, or for some reason the same pattern that used to give us snow in the past just doesn't produce the same now...

@GaWx would you happen to know how often KATL gets snow from a low positioned the way it is in the icon? There’ve been some similar though most are at least a little further south.

Yep, have it, just turned on that setting. Thanks. I think it's available even on the regular version of radarscope. Just go to settings and turn it on.

Hmmm this is the period the EPS likes Great looking high and would be a great indication that some truly arctic air will be injected into the CONUS - hopefully we are still seeing a 1045 by D7 even further south ;)

Watch it ide toward the Lakes in the next few frames. Nope, not w/ the deep layer NW flow over the NE US, it's gonna eventually turn back to the SE we just hope that happens when the wave starts out over the southern plains not Missouri or Iowa
