Nope something about 10 shipping containers that are on the water and 5 that are at customs getting a VACIS basically an xray. My luck they will get flagged and held for further inspection . I guess I should have listened to the call lolI take it the conference call had nothing to do with Irma and possible impacts on AL.

Has there ever been two Cat 5 hurricanes at once in recorded history in the Atlantic basin ?Jose is almost a category 5 hurricane right now and it looks like Irma is trying to make a run back towards category 5 status. Who would have thought we'd ever have a chance to see 2 category 5 hurricanes at once, well we have that chance today...
Fear the NW trendAny more westward shifts, and I'll be partly cloudy and breezy Monday and Tuesday!
No there hasn't. We also are getting very close to have 3 major hurricanes at once (Irma, Jose, and Katia) and that's happened only twice in history (1933 & 2010)Has there ever been two Cat 5 hurricanes at once in recorded history in the Atlantic basin ?

Exactly. Yesterday I asked if there was a chance it could run for a 5, and that may come true now. On another note, looks like Irma will pass Phil as a 1.Jose is almost a category 5 hurricane right now and it looks like Irma is trying to make a run back towards category 5 status. Who would have thought we'd ever have a chance to see 2 category 5 hurricanes at once, well we have that chance today...
The NW trend does not nitpick . We fight it year round lolWrong season

Webb, since your on here, before you suddenly disappear again, whats your current take on Irma path? Thanks Accu
would that be a first?Jose is almost a category 5 hurricane right now and it looks like Irma is trying to make a run back towards category 5 status. Who would have thought we'd ever have a chance to see 2 category 5 hurricanes at once, well we have that chance today...
Yeswould that be a first?
I wouldn't call clear yet. Get Irma's track 100 miles west and you are in trouble.Hey @Storm5 no worries here in Alabama right? We're on the "Good Side"![]()
Tampa's on the "good side" too because it looks like the center may go 5-10 miles east.Spann says I'm on the 'Good Side' so I quit watching the weather.......
Is that due to the further west track ? Or what is the reason ?Looking better for inland areas especially northern Georgia . Sure there will be strong wind gusts but the extreme scenarios have backed off

GFS and euro still have 60-80 mph gusts in N Ga and Upstate SCLooking better for inland areas especially northern Georgia . Sure there will be strong wind gusts but the extreme scenarios have backed off

That's why is said strong wind gustsGFS and euro still have 60-80 mph gusts in N Ga and Upstate SC
Longer time over land but to me it looks like the models have slowed down a little post landfall . A slower moving system is better than one that zips through like Opal didIs that due to the further west track ? Or what is the reason ?
