I wonder why these showers do that, it’s like they get “fanned” out

Could be because they’re going over the radar center and aren’t necessarily fanned out but radar can’t pick them up directly overhead.

There is a line on radar from Raleigh/Durham south through Fayetteville that looks like it is trying to develop further. Could grow into something as it moves east.

All the Globals show a weekend threat, then a wed threat. Euro on the Wed deal(10 day) is in north Florida. GFS 6z is pipe dream city throught entire run> Id cash out now with it:

Preliminary ZR accum map for this event, snow/sleet map will be out later today or tonight following the conclusion of the potential flurries east of the mtns underneath this upper low. Looks like the highest ZR totals occurred near the VA border from Stokes to Person Co.

Woke up to another glaze of ice and a light snow shower. Saw overnight the winter storm warning in effect for watauga above 3500'. Looks like roads covered again up at beech mountain. Winds are ripping up here.
