Tropical TS Fred

The main body of Fred is starting to creep closer with the outer edge of it already getting up to Columbus. Probably gonna start working it’s way into south part of Atlanta in about 2-4 hours if I were to guess.View attachment 88465

Headed for a bee line course for the entire metro area. Probably going to drop a quick 3-4 inches since the rain rates will be so efficient.

Looks like it’s going deep into AL! Seems West if model forecasts

Lot of confusion locally because there is no flood watch or anything in place. Combine that with WPC issuing a Moderate Risk then people on social media are confused because ------------- issued a High Risk. No wording is the same and no products from the NWS. Most people replaced the news with Netflix so little to no warning time for the kids going back to school tomorrow.

A heavy shower here in the last few minutes coming off the ocean around Fred. We had a good bit last night also.

Some nasties about to come ashore Charlestown, SC need to be watched as they rotate inland to the n/e quad of Frank

Yikes maybe some pockets of clearing soon for NC Charlotte area before the tornadoes this evening

honestly with pockets of clearing and warming ahead I could see the need for enhanced risk for severe near the SC/NC border up to Yadkin County area.

Damn wish I could find the new NOAA experimental tornado maps that were useful the past few months
