We surrender mother nature.......going on 10-12" since last Wed here....

* Flood Advisory for...
Central Pitt County in eastern North Carolina...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Greenville, Winterville, Farmville, Bell Arthur, Black Jack, Dowdy
Ficklen Stadium, East Carolina University, Pitt Greenville
Airport, Grimesland and Simpson.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
 
How did the drought for wake county remain the same with the rainfall we have received? I know they take into account many things, not just precip.
Because drought doesn’t just go away from days of scattered storms, takes a while to buildup drought, takes a while to get rid of drought
