How good is the JMA with these types of things?
It's not used that often, but still, it's within the realm of ensemble means.

gradients have been crazy these past few years (el ninoish gradients), literally no snow CLT-south, then it piles up and increases CLT-north, basically 85 separating things, but that’s kinda expecting with these miller B storms we’ve had these past years
Yeah that’s about as textbook set up and track as you’ll find for the entire Charlotte metro. This is one of the few times I'm happy I'll be in Charlotte instead of RDU.
I feel like I-85 seperates everywhere in the SE(or at least the South Atlantic States). The I-85 dividing line is super evident here in the Atlanta area.
Lol mby is basically right on 85, so I've seen tons of sleet from being on the line.gradients have been crazy these past few years (el ninoish gradients), literally no snow CLT-south, then it piles up and increases CLT-north (kannapolis/concord/huntersville/lake Norman) , basically 85 separating things, but that’s kinda expecting with these miller B storms we’ve had these past years
DT doesn’t like this upcoming pattern, lol
I feel like by East Coast he means the Mid AtlanticDT doesn’t like this upcoming pattern, lol
Do we want more separation?

I would allow more energy to come with the system and keep it more suppressed (though that is a 3 setup ordeal, too far north, in the south or too far south)Do we want more separation?

A step towards Euro. I mean you guys Gfs is known for having a progressive flow only to back down as time nears. The energy seems to look more separated from the northern flow this round.
