I'm starting to think you're just listening to the media too much, the left leaning media. I ask these questions to all the "trump haters" and they never have too much of an argument.

Here's one that people don't look at normally. Unity. Since he's been elected, both sides of the political spectrum that have the spotlight have been drifting apart. Every, and I do mean every, media outlet and news source has put a more negative spin on the other party, turning this nation into an "us VS them" instead of "we the people". Trump's dialect influences this and there's no denying it. The nation has become more divided than before his election due to his way of talking about the other party. If he promised unity, where is it? He hasn't done a thing to make our country more unified. Only torn it apart.

Trump's policies aren't meant to help everyone. There are going to be people who are negatively affected by his actions and congress's no matter what. If you think we live in a Trump-ruled utopia I have to ask you the same question. America deserves a better leader, and unfortunately nobody in the 2020 race can fill those shoes from how I see it. Pile of diapers vs rotting fish...

Trump's policies aren't meant to help everyone. There are going to be people who are negatively affected by his actions and congress's no matter what. If you think we live in a Trump-ruled utopia I have to ask you the same question. America deserves a better leader, and unfortunately nobody in the 2020 race can fill those shoes from how I see it. I'm not arguing that people aren't negatively affected in ways by his policy but I find it very difficult to believe that a person can't find a single thing that has helped him or her since he has taken office. Not saying impossible just highly improbable.

As far as division is concerned, individuals are responsible for that. I have said this many times before. When you allow your emotions to get the best of you that falls squarely on the individual. If everybody is being honest about how they feel then I'm not sure how you meet in the middle on some of the more hot button issues that get people in a fervor. With that being said, if the other side can't even admit the economy is helping the large majority, the problem is staring back at them in the mirror

If you say it falls on the individual, tell that to Trump. His language fits that he's emotionally angered toward everyone who doesn't follow him. For someone who leads the nation, emotions can lead to bad choices.

And let's see if Trump has helped me any:

Any raises due to a booming economy? Nope. Businesses aren't going to just start handing out more money, at least not all of them
Tax cuts? I just started filing my taxes I have no opinion on this since I have no history prior to Trump.
(Note to the above, being a full time college student and working isn't easy so a full time job is not possible)
Healthcare costs? Still rising.

It's all to the individual. You can't just broad brush a statement like what you said before.

You are in a very unique situation. In college, no full time employment. Im assuming you don't have a mortgage or kids? That's not to say that economic issues aren't important to you but you aren't going to be affected by many any economic policy at this point in your life. At least not to the extent that its a major issue to your bottom line.

The healthcare thing I understand. Both parties own this. I believe in the free market, some believe the government should take over. I am hoping that Trump tackles this in his second term but it will be a non-issue if congress is divided

The thing is, Trumps tax restructuring has made it possible to create your own business and not have to rely on someone else to sign your paycheck or give you a raise. Not that it couldn't be done under another administration, it just seems like it's more of an option now. And that kind of goes into the health care portion. Small businesses were going under or laying staff off to stay under the mandatory health care coverage from Obamacare.

Basically, provide a service or skill to someone where you are your own boss and ditch the boss and what he decides to value your worth and people might find Trump's changes good.

Hate to break it to you but every politician is a liar, some just are better at hiding it than others or get called out on it more. You can look up plenty of lies from prominent democrats, republicans, independents and past presidents.

Retired after 40+ years working. His impeachment is a non issue as he blocks any testimony.
