super cold rain incoming with this awesome 1800s/feb 2004 look ! 
A lot of funky things can happen in a pattern like this .. watch the raging -NAO .. that’s also bound to cause Madness in the modeling
And that is how March and April snow legends are made
very similar to February 2004, no trough out west pulling either and a better ridge in the west
Interesting. There's still a little work that needs to be done but as a whole that's a solid look. Just looking at the 0z eps the needle barely moved on snow so that's disappointing. With the cold infusion and potential cut offs I would have thought the ensembles would have gotten a little more active. Maybe 12z

Be careful with that or you couple a -NAO
Gonna be blocking basically nothing cold air is on the other side, seems like we get a big block to do work when there’s no cold air
