My station battery is dead but I’m guessing I’m around 50 just walking outside.
Maybe the cold air will make another push this morning. How many times have we seen it hang up, and even crawl in reverse, overnight, but pick back up as the morning progresses? I feel like that’s a common occurrence, even in non winter weather threat situations. If so, maybe you can bring the goods into the metro area. The line at Honda is already cranking, and my office is getting full....UGH!Light rain here dropped from 34 to 32.8 . Forecasted low was 36

This is what I have been afraid of...just hoping that track is bogus....but she has been as steady as a rock through all of this. If we torch that much....it will melt anything that was frozen!with the warm heavy rain. After that, it’s flash freezing that becomes the concern. Of course....IF the NAM is right.the nam blasts everyone during the heaviest precip![]()

haven't all the models been wrong all weekend on the temps? I haven't been above freezing since Friday probably.I doubt it . The furnace will start cranking later this am as the low starts gaining strength and moving NE . Tuscaloosa is a much better spot . Short range models push the freezing line through early afternoon with some precip still around . Bham is cooked IMO . Might end as some freezing drizzle . Gonna need a big cold push this morning which would mean all the models bust cold . I just don’t see it

That’s irrelevant with regards to today.haven't all the models been wrong all weekend on the temps? I haven't been above freezing since Friday probably.

not entirely. The models have been overdoing the temps all weekend. NWS and local mets all agree that the models are too hot. That’s irrelevant with regards to today.
I'm not complaining at all, as I got about half an inch of sleet last night, but looking at the radar trends, I may avoid the worst.
It could fill in later tho. We shall see.
How much snow did you get in Dallas ?Honestly you will think it will be a snow day for Alabama with temps in the 30s but it never fails
Do you have a way to stay warm ?Sometime while I was sleep, we lost power.
Not sure when it will come back on.
Aliceville to Jasper to Cullman to Gurley is where the freezing line has set up across AL...with a few areas hovering around 32 spread out.
I measured around 4 inches here in the east side of the cityHow much snow did you get in Dallas ?
In Birmingham it was 36 when I left my house in Southern Jefferson County and in Eastlake my car is saying 33. Just another drop or two when the precipitation arrives we may be in luck!?!Sometime while I was sleep, we lost power.

Yeah it was insane but what really got me more than anything besides the snow was the cold temperatures and the wind I mean it is brutal3-4" seems to be the general rule around DFW.
The fact that most of it fell in 2 hours is the most impressive part.
