Still expecting 1-3" here... feeling good even though it's not that much after my years in NH.
Precip always moves in faster than forecast and CAA always slower, it's just how it is

You were probably right about not chasing, at least to the mountains. Back edge of precip is coming in fast. Not sure other parts of NC get much snow either after it warmed up 5-10 degrees over forecast in some places today. NE of Raleigh has the best chance at it.
Pan over a bit for us wake folk ?

44.2/40.6 with warm rain. Hoping for the best. HRRR seems to have leveled off at around 2" for this area. We'll see.

high was 42. Changeover happened as soon as precip came overhead with temp at 37 to start.
This is what fell with temps around 37-34 degrees. All gone Now though. The year of the flizzards continues. I believe this the 8th dusting of the season.

Radar ehoes over ky,sw va, nw nc moving nw to se toward coastal , is the cold air aloft that has to get overhead for the change top - down. Thats nw side of ull should be coming over 12-2 triad, triangle - ne coastal plain 2am-3 am.
NAM gave me a big sigh of relief as it looks just like the HRRR.

NAM has decent soundings even here, it’s definitely the colder model now, what a turn around from a few days ago tho for NC

Some possibly encouraging news here: my temp is dropping slowly but surely. Down to 43.3/40.3 which is slightly colder than the HRRR sounding for my area at this time.
I'm not gonna fall for this, not gonna do it, nope not at all...

Clouds came out, temps/dp here are stuck at 45/44 with light drizzle.
The snow around 12 looks to be entirely driven by rate. Will be a really fun hour it seems.
CC line is just gonna crash
