At least we have something showing up on the GEFS now, and it has been trending better. Only about a week out, too. Maybe we can keep getting baby steps to get at least a little snow around here.

Activated a HIRES nest to better resolve this system.. low pressure appears a bit further south, more similar to ECMWF than GFS.
CMC is deathly similar to the euro .. I can’t see precip type plots but it looks warmer generally.. also not really a 50/50 there as well. But a stronger high pressure .. maybe it’s ice that goes to rain. But the track is just like euro

Euro, GEFS, and CMC all showing a threat for next weekend. This might just be legit.
Yep just saw precip plots the similarities to the euro is extreme but the weird thing is there’s no 50/50

On the CMC, the low just kinda sits there and dumps loads of snow on NC...
Eventually this goes to rain though we don’t have enough cold air in place .. which is a shame because this thing ends up crawling … biggest winners: the mountains lol but the piedmont gets a good initial snack 
The cold will be there when it’s all said and done.
