HRRR shows decent storms later this afternoon when shear increases. But whether that happens or not who knows? HRRR was trash predicting SRH it was showing very high values and then today comes and it shows little to nothing. ?

Having an area of focused lifting, a considerable capping inversion, and more shear would have produced more organized storms instead of these highly linear, messy modes we’ve seen today

Yep, especially with past summer storms, maybe we have a shot tommorow with better ones with more isolated convection

Only some rain here. The threat fell flat due to the cloudcover here and looks like the most of it was in the Carolinas. I don't see it doing much more here other than rain here and there.
Looks like the storms that will be heading into Charlotte May have some hail, 55-60 dbz cores

I might have seen more if I tried to stay awake, but outside of one loud rumble of thunder that did get the heartbeat up and a potential flash of lightning, wasn't much outside of heavy rain, thunder, and wind (that I didn't see since I was asleep). What was the storm however might have been just to the north.
