I need the rain on my end over here. We are very dryNo deep trough to rocket whatever forms inland. Good because any wind impacts will be confined to coastal areas. Bad because the last thing the SE needs is more rain.

I would rather have a drought than flooding.I need the rain on my end over here. We are very dry
I guarantee you more people are killed by flooding than drought every year in the US.I would rather have a drought than flooding.

Yep, They all start out that way except GFS.The models all seem to be not very enthusiastic regarding intensity. Subject to change, of course.

The floaters around the Appalachia would like a word with you. This storm looks fantastic. Check please.
I'd prefer it miss them but anything to get a cool down here has my stamp of approval. Haven't been able to go outside without feeling like I'm in a steaming blast furnace since the end of April. The floaters around the Appalachia would like a word with you.
Regardless of how it happens I just want cooler and drier air hereY'all know there are other ways to get rain and cooler weather that are less extreme than a hurricane, right?
This time of year a hurricane missing right is a great way to get drier air. Its why i always hope a cane misses right than left here. Helene went way left and its as miserable as mid July here today. Had it went 50 miles east of Wilmington today would be sunny with a low dewpointY'all know there are other ways to get rain and cooler weather that are less extreme than a hurricane, right?

Each of the 3 major global models shows a clean frontal passage here around hour 240 associated with the hurricane. Ian (2022) gave us a shot of cooler/drier air in late September. Wilma in 2005 was fantastic for us, days of highs in the low 70's and lows in the mid-50's. Sandy (2012) was similar.Your in south Fl. When don't even get dry air here until mid October these days.

Yes, as long as you get drier air, bring on the death and destruction from hurricanes.Regardless of how it happens I just want cooler and drier air here

Yes, that's what's more important. Ridiculous.Whatever happens is going to happen whether I want it to or not. May as well root for something that will improve my quality of life.
Not gonna lie, this is one of the most selfish and dumbest comments I've ever read on here.Whatever happens is going to happen whether I want it to or not. May as well root for something that will improve my quality of life.
I hate to hear what’s happening in the mountains. I wish people would listen and evaluate when told too. Too many deaths that could have been prevented.
I’m guessing you meant evacuate. Not everyone has the funds/resources to travel and spend hundreds/thousands of dollars on accommodations.I hate to hear what’s happening in the mountains. I wish people would listen and evaluate when told too. Too many deaths that could have been prevented.
Be careful, they'll post give you the clown emoji. Even the guy from Oklahoma that never had to worry about hurricanes. Not gonna lie, this is one of the most selfish and dumbest comments I've ever read on here.
It might be if I were some sort of supernatural being with the power to control the weather. Considering that I'm not (as far as I know), I fail to see your point. Not gonna lie, this is one of the most selfish and dumbest comments I've ever read on here.
