Got .31” from that line earlier this morning. Now seeing some breaks of sun and it’s steamyShe looks meaner on radar, as she's not an efficient rain maker at ~0.15" per hour rates. But I'll take my 0.25" and be happy.View attachment 120835
Update: Looks like storms with decent rainfall rates headed for me. Hearing distant rumbles of thunder now. Note the band of showers just S of me along the sea breeze front. Finally a pleasant 84°F with a 76°F DP as of 11 AM instead of the boring northeatshiterlies here
Some high clouds moving in from the W dampening heating for the moment, but hopefully some scattered T-storms this evening with shortwave forcing and some clearing the next few hours
HRRR hinting at it too.I love when the 18z 3k shows overnight stormsView attachment 120844
Radar is heating up nowHRRR hinting at it too.
We've had some incredible weather for mid August11 straight sub 90 highs![]()
Who did I hurt way back when to deserve this much Karma? After my 0.17" this morning I'm back to normal conditions

It's just hard to get extreme heat the later in the year it gets. It happens, but it's harder. Sun angle lower, not as much daylight, etc.The GFS has backed off on having most of us get 2+ inches of rain I see. Showing some areas with less than .50 over the next 16 days. GSP is already backing off on pops next Friday and Saturday and will probably go lower later on. We are quickly going into what are normally our driest couple of months each year. I do not see the tropics waking up either, so many of us may have to wait until November to get significant widespread rainfall. 2001 is the year that best fits what I think is coming up. We went 60 days straight days that fall without measurable rainfall here. The big heat probably is not over either. 100+ is still on the table for many of us.
Close, .24 but I had .21 yesterday and all of it was light to moderate so just right imo. But there were some good 'ol fashion slow moving gully washers all around me@metwannabe did you win today?
So.....Who did I hurt way back when to deserve this much Karma?

Rain is sparse. Probably the driest MBY has been since 2012.Got a bit of relief over the weekend, but it only brought me up to 0.75" in August
Please send rain
