With a look like that, I’m sure we will be cool with those low heights. My only concern is, with no -EPO and a warm Canada, where is the fresh cold air coming from? In my experience that is always needed for winter weather here. Stale or modified cold doesn’t cut it.

All aboard the hype train!
Seeing a football game played in the snow in Athens honestly sounds like the most 2020 thing weather can giveFootball in the snow is the best ! Can't wait to see Georgia sloshing around in the snow when they host Vandy on Dec 5 !
thank you. unfortunately people like to be first and be right here instead of letting the more experienced veterans do it at the right time. it's a damn shame we will be over 10 pages deep before the month even starts. its getting ridiculous actually but its good to see others calling out the swamp members.Sorry to the person who made the thread title but.... cmon we need a better name than that .. it’s such a dud when u read it
Cold air is no hurry whatsoever to get here. Maybe the ensembles will be better. No bueno View attachment 53068
Might be the worst model out there.man I have a feeling the cmc is being consistently wrong, lol View attachment 53069View attachment 53070
GFS looks interesting with the upper level low. Those could surpriseLol yeah.... no View attachment 53071
Nobody wants a flizzard. People won't be happy until they are knee deep in snow.I mean what the cmc is showing isn’t far off as to what could happen... all the models have been hinting at a pretty significantly deep upper level low and you all know how those can turn out ... deep cold air at all layers .. many people could be up for a flizzard if they can get under that upper low
I'd be completely ok with any snowNobody wants a flizzard. People won't be happy until they are knee deep in snow.
Flurries and snow showers + plenty of cold air for day after day when you get one of those ?Gotta say....the synoptic pattern over the east on the GFS in the early December time period is very.....bizarre to say the least. A massive upper level lobe just gets cut off from the main flow and just meanders. Not sure I've seen anything quite like it before on the models. Flurries and snow showers over much of the western part of the South in association with the cut off ULL.
This could explain why we could get a very bizarre weather pattern over the CONUS as we move into December.

It may be a record low, but not by much. Honestly, with the OZN like this. The PV would become more fluid if its trajectory heading into winter.

The ridge axis on the GEFS over Canada is shifting NW and trending colder + more widespread cold in the south-central US

This map is kinda deceptive. It makes it look like people in Fargo will be wearing shorts and flip flops when their forecast is actually in the mid to upper 30s for this time period. I have to remind myself that bright reds dont necessarily mean warm weather. The ridge axis on the GEFS over Canada is shifting NW and trending colder + more widespread cold in the south-central US
