December 2000 was a very snowy month in parts of the South. You don't remember getting any snow then ? I remember watching the Independence Bowl that year in Shreveport and the snow was pouring down.

For those of us in middle TN, the Nashville snow dome reared its ugly head during that storm. All we got was a dusting, while just 20 miles NW they got heavy ice and snow.

I remember it well, December 22, 2004. Memphis had received about 3" of sleet followed by an 1" of snow resulting in a white Christmas. This storm produced huge snow totals in the Central Plains.

You are correct. I meant Ohio Valley. The storms originated in the central plains.
