May be?

We are on love for summer activities! Try it man promise you will be hooked.
To each his own. I hate summer with a passion. Yeah those summer activities are nice in the mid 80s. But that never happens anymore. Like clockwork every year mid May we hit 90s and never look back. 95+ is miserable no matter what activity you're doing.

Call me crazy, but the hotter it is the more I enjoy being outdoors. At least until you start hitting temps of over 100. That I can live without.

I used to hate summer with a passion. But now having a pool I can't wait for 95 degrees. Still like Fall and Winter the most but summer is a welcome change of pace now.

I hope the cool down disrupted the severe weather. And when we do heat up severe weather is kept at bay

? Been doing them. They can easily be done without 90s and high humidity. Southeastern summers are inhumane and no one should have to endure them.
There is nothing at all nice about being under a death ridge of sinking air without a cloud in the sky and 95 degree sunshine baking your soul. It hasnt even started and I just want to make it stop!

Well I for one am not a fan! Summer storms are great but that ridge parked right over us will not allow that. Hopefully that's not a sign of dominant pattern this summer or it'll be a hot, dry, boring miserable season.

Modeling has been downright awful this year, so hopefully, it's wrong about that ridge as well. I can't handle dry heat and drought.

Like a hole in the head, but it is what it is ... actually, it's always May 20th, +/- and September 20th, +/- when changes occur. So, once again we have an inland North Florida summer on tap ... just another reason to hit the Art Loeb trail above 4,000 ft in July ... ;)

Pushing 20c at 850 around here by the end of that run, 90-95 is a good bet. Hope we can score some decent storms between Sunday and Tuesday that is a dry look around here unless we can get some energy stuck under the ridge

Yeah that energy that gets buried around Louisiana/Mississippi would have to be around GA/SC for us to have a daily chance of storms after Tuesday, hopefully that happens, lol

Before the heat/humidity sets in for most of the next 120+ days late week, we still have a couple more fantastic days to enjoy. I'm about to go walking. At 8 PM, temps were in the low 70s with RH way down in the upper 20%s (DP in high 30s)! I've so enjoyed this bonus of a respite with CO Rocky Mountain summer wx way down here in the deep south!

WHERE is the frost advisory for Wilkes county tonight someone is SLEEPING on the job

There... Fixed it for you.

If it were to be like last year, it'd be more like about 150ish days haha. That start to October was an absolute horror show but after that it was overall ok I thought.

I would say even if we have been a few degrees warmer than the highs predicted, that the May cool spell has been a success. Now it's almost time to truly begin the hot period of the year. Fun fun...

(okay not really, but hopefully I'll be able to partake in some summer activities, maybe I'll get to swim soon given the deal of my state "opening too early")

Central NC been getting the shaft with regards to rain the past few months and now it looks predominately hot/dry. Welcome to summer. I guess one good thing is we will see the relationship between heat/covid.

An awesome 48 low this morning at KSAV, which is 2 degrees cooler than any other day this month and 13 BN! Today’s high is forecasted to only be in the mid 70s with breezy NE winds and dewpoints well down into the 40s most of the daytime (still was in high 30s at 9AM. Another cool one tonight with a low in the lower 50s is forecasted. Looking forward to still another comfortable walk this evening. So, in summary, still another Rocky Mountain summer-like day/evening! Soaking it in with much appreciation, especially knowing it is a bonus before a likely 150 or so days of heat and humidity dominates starting late week. At least this shortens the duration from the 165+ days it could have been. Glad to shorten it!
