I am sure WRAL will put out their usual forecast for below normal snowfall. Better to start out low and work upwards if you have to.
Why would anyone complain about accurate forecasting?I am sure WRAL will put out their usual forecast for below normal snowfall. Better to start out low and work upwards if you have to.
I think for the southeast outside of Florida, widespread average to slightly above average temperatures. There will be above average precipitation. I do think we’ll see at least 2 widespread winter storms outside of the mountains. What do you guys honestly see happening this winter? Seems like almost everyone is talking about definitely having amped up storms with the jet stream track. All we need is the cold to line up at the right time. I’d give us about a 30% of a board wide hit this year instead of the usual 5%.
Yet we ( y’all ) still watchIt's funny how almost every single Youtuber that talks about winter in the summer and puts out videos and "analysis" is a guy under the age of 27, with disheveled hair and mustard on his shirt and is obviously running his lab out of his mother's basement.

I think it's her real voice but it could be AI the way things have developed. If it's her real voice you can say she's not married or no boyfriend. Is that her real voice or AI?
Like I always say, if you can't join 'em, beat 'em.@Rain Cold is nothing but a hype machine these days. I think I liked the other version of you better. ?

I'm not even going to post Justin Town's forecast, where he whips out the, gasp, winter battle zone.
WeatherWilliam just went Boom!!!!
One thing is for sure… unless something changes with SSTs in the Gulf and off the east coast in the next few months, assume that the amped solutions on models are rightI predict heartbreak for many....lol. I would imagine there will be some chances, but also some nasty misses as well.
Nasty Misses are really the norm and lots of them it always seems. However last year was different, we didn't even get to sniff a nasty miss, it was that horrific lol.I predict heartbreak for many....lol. I would imagine there will be some chances, but also some nasty misses as well.

amped is no bueno for us I take it?One thing is for sure… unless something changes with SSTs in the Gulf and off the east coast in the next few months, assume that the amped solutions on models are right
It depends. It’s no good in borderline situations but if you’ve got the cold air in place and with a good source, there’s more moisture availableamped is no bueno for us I take it?
Nah lol but one can dreamThis is the year. Monster snow storm south of 85. North of 85 gets nothing .![]()
With El nino that is definitely a possibility.Nah lol but one can dream
Massive snowstorm from Pensacola, FL to Charleston, SCThis is the year. Monster snow storm south of 85. North of 85 gets nothing .![]()
I feel like Charleston had a good 5 or 6 incher not to terribly long ago.Massive snowstorm from Pensacola, FL to Charleston, SC
Massive snowstorm from Mobile Al to Charleston, SC
Depends on the track of the Lowamped is no bueno for us I take it?
2018 I believeI feel like Charleston had a good 5 or 6 incher not to terribly long ago.
I believe you are right. It's going to be fun times from DC to Boston.Bold prediction: There will be a January 2016, Blizzard of '96, ect. type storm on the EC at some point this winter. We may or may not get in on the fun but I feel confident in a historic storm for the MA northward this year.
I kind of agree on this outlook. I would think that the NC mountains, Charlotte north and east will do well. I'm really thinking SC, GA, AL and MS see all rain, but cool temps. TN and KY might do well in this pattern, though. Those maps are silly! And I don’t know how they got her to talk in the NOAA weather voice!
She’s got a “wild card” zone ? that’s the girl version of winter battle zone??
Let’s remember that last winter was a Niña, and it was the wettest and snowiest winters on record for California and other parts of the West, so expect the unexpected! How ironic would it be if the South was warmer and dryer than normal for the winter!?
Hopefully if SC feels the pain and suffering NC will too. ?I kind of agree on this outlook. I would think that the NC mountains, Charlotte north and east will do well. I'm really thinking SC, GA, AL and MS see all rain, but cool temps. TN and KY might do well in this pattern, though.
I wouldn’t throw out AL/MS just yet. For you to say we will see all rain this winter is crazy. So far all the forecast this winter says I’m gonna have some fun.I kind of agree on this outlook. I would think that the NC mountains, Charlotte north and east will do well. I'm really thinking SC, GA, AL and MS see all rain, but cool temps. TN and KY might do well in this pattern, though.
