Misc Winter 22-23 Whamby and Banter Thread Part 2

I hate winter. Bring on torch, fire up the lawnmowers, dust off the golf clubs, start planting the garden.....bring on the bugs.

I hate everything...but come on...you can't help but laugh.

It does make sense that this won't leak far enough east for us. It's been trending quicker negative tilt and we have an atl ridge. This probably ends up a chicago special.

I mean at this rate Savannah will see more snow then up here.... ok kylo I guess I have to laugh at that

I don't have to laugh and you can't make me...... Lol j/k
Yeah, not looking good for RDU eastward. Odds are better for out west but we still have more model runs ahead.

This going to sting as this winter sucks so bad but atleast we had something to track inside day 5 and it does look like a large part of the forum will get snow.

Oh yay. Now I have to explain to all my social media friends that it's not going to snow here and the snow maps are wrong.

I.hate.social.media.

If someone in the Carolina’s can score, this will be the best worst winter ever

If you like to play in cold rain. Please don't fall for the FGFS.
Right now, I'm thinking Roanoke, VA and north in to West Virginia is the only area with real potential to chase. If this trends to snow in the foothills of NC, I might just chase it. Temps will be marginal so no travel issues. This would be a good chase scenario for me since I don't have a four wheel drive.

Never thought I'd be considering heading home to Gastonia for a snow(parents house is basically Cherryville which is the Roxboro of the CLT metro area) but here we are

I'm with KGSP right now. I like their latest discussion and agree.

I realize that this weekend is the main topic of discussion, but I’m still keeping an eye on the forecast for the Stadium Series game in Raleigh on the 18th. A 50 degree rain would be a disaster.

It was a stupid call in the first place to do it in Mid February. I would've scheduled it a month earlier.

They are playing hockey outdoors? I'm confused; Not a hockey fan

I was thinking about going to SW NC around Cherokee or Maggie Valley but not sure they would be in a good spot or not.
