Not much discussion on this but I wouldn’t rule out the EURO developing this into a hurricane. Which would certainly increase tornado chances and possibly bring the track a little more north.

not much, more organized the system gets, it’s more stacked thus less turning of the winds with height, moderate-strong TS is perfect for tornadoes with increase 850/1km winds yet a unstacked storm thus more better crossovers and more turning of the wind with height/better looks on hodographs, now when it comes to increasing the tornado threat farther inland, yeah it does as the storm quickly becomes unstacked over land

I’m south of 85 too but will be so close to the rain shield that I can smell it but will probably not see any significant rain unless this shifts north by about 100 miles.

Just my opinion, but point of landfall has sig. implications for upslope/rain shield south-East of the Appalachians. A purple track or west will bring lots of rain west of Atlanta GA and north. A blue track and the cutoff is within 50mi of Atlanta GA and the NC mountains are largely missed. An orange track is largely nothing for Atlanta GA but a lot for coastal Carolinas/Florida.

The 5pm advisory has winds at 45 mph after it develops, all the way to off the Carolina coast!

Hopefully it’s right with the inland rain, but it also shows a 970mbish storm making landfall which is quite unlikely so that probably messes around with the effects around here
