Pattern September Somnolence

Actually ended up with .2 yesterday and as someone above mentioned it's feast or famine, I could literally see the "wall" of rain to my east about a tenth of a mile and my dad, 1.2 miles east of me picked up 1.8
Yeah these pulse storms have been no joke if you are lucky enough to get under one. I actually think for the first time all week mby might be favored today.

We may actually see the heat tempered back a bit next weekend. Nothing fall like but maybe highs more in the mid 80s

hmm... that's a sweet cold shot for mid-month.

Indeed it is. Unfortunately the Euro, EPS, and GEFS take a big poop on that idea.

I’m surprised we still got storms to pop with all this ridging.

still there tonight, but like cyclogent said, no support from GEFS... let's see if tonight's Euro makes a move toward fall:

gfs may be rushing things, but I think the cold push will come eventually... maybe first frost around the upper Great Lakes, etc.

5 inches of rain here on the Euro(thats with Gordon going east) and Florence is about to hit the east coast

okay then

just for fun, the 198 gfs from this time last year.. This turned out to be Irma, I guess:

Yeah, the GFS repeatedly overstrengthened Irma (891 mb of SC lol) in addition to being way too far NE of the actual track.

And...poof. 6z GFS for the same timeframe. Looks like the Euro and ensembles now. At least the tropics wont be boring. With that said i do think we'll see our pattern change & cooldown after we get some tropical energy into the Canadian maritimes. Still about 2 weeks out though.

Actually there are signs of a change in weather, cool down. You just have to look real real real real real real real real real hard to find them.
