Pattern September Somnolence

This is really getting ridiculous and there is nothing showing to really shake things up. Top 10 hottest September looks like a good bet. Maybe a cold front by 10/1

Yeah, this sucks. Definitely looks like October before we get a break, hopefully.

It is nasty hot out today. I mowed the lawn and worked in the yard from 9:30 to 11;30 this morning, and it was like having a wet blanket on top of me. Hope that is the last time I have to mow the lawn if it is going to be this hot all month.

My A/C is running non stop. Here’s to another $180 power bill :(
Damn cheap, very much so ... need your power company to covertly run a line down here into the Peoples Socialist Republic of Alachua

Where they built a billion (yes, amortized) $ biomass plant to generate electricity, not stopping to think they'd have to clear cut a 100 mile radius for the next 50 years, and forgetting the carbon necessary for 18 wheelers to haul it in, or the destruction to existing road surfaces ... and forgetting that we already have a natural gas pipeline that ... Oh well ... shows what short sighted nonsense can lead to ... highest per kwh in the state ... and rising ... 2% this month and going ...

Oh and BTW ... groundwater levels are at the highest since they've kept records, but we're on water restrictions ...

Its either the rubber band effect or pattern persistence that will win out. One or the other.

You don't want an Opal, and probably not a Kate, but here's sending some hopes and prayers for a nice steady rain that keeps the Nottley in its banks, but fills the lake (Winfield) ...
It could sit over Blairsville and never fill up Nottely. I was just there last weekend and they already started draining it.

ahh, that's more like it...

in a change today it was only 80 degrees and rained on and off all day here :p

Broke the streak of 90+ days

However the LR GFS looks more like I would expect :p

At this rate we won't see 50s for lows again until Oct. We hit the upper 50s in August during that brief cool spell.

No Opal for sure, just rain!

Cheer up guys, our pattern change will come.
I’m of the belief that if temps were running BN for this time of year THEN we would need to worry. I feel we are primed for pattern change going into early winter. Hopefully this doesn’t mean we flip from AN September- early October to a BN late October- early December then back to AN late December-Early February :(
