99*F was the high today at ATL, shattering the previous record of 94*F (set in 1900) by 5 degrees
Tuesday's high of 98*F at ATL also broke the previous record high of 97*F set in 1925.

It’s so dry the heat index is lower then the temperature in Atlanta today. That should tell you everything about our current situation.
