So if my brief survey of the overnight modeling is correct, basically every model has some kind of "storm" in the SE around day 5, except the GFS?

We are definitely trending towards something good around mid-month. The tropospheric polar vortex over northern Canada has been sinking south w/ each GEFS run

Yeah pretty much. I think the GFS & GFS para's progressive bias are partly to blame

This is what we need to happen. We could work with this. Unfortunately its the CFS. Anyway see if this trends to the crapper or into something legit. Need the Dgex, cause the 84 hr Nam was headed toward glory at 5h on the 6z run.

Hate to say it but the 06z icon, 06 GFS, and 00z CMC are all very similar for Monday. While the EURO is normally pretty accurate it's EURO vs. all at the moment

Anyone else finding it interesting that all this is happening in the South at the time period of Saturn's and Jupiter's conjunction for the next few weeks????
Currently 29 with a low of 27. Fairly widespread frost. Been a great first third of Dec
Mega frost criteria met this morning, all objects covered!!
