Ostrich December

That storm really was a Christmas miracle, maybe Santa will give us another one after all the crap we’ve endured this decade.
Oh, I doubted CR on that one. Said it to his face, but he's had the excellent good grace to not rub my face in it. Not once. Ga doesn't get snow on Xmas day...ever..that's what I said, and so I thought. That one and Larry's Sav snow call are the two rabbit out of a hat calls that top my list, right there with Robert's spring ULL call that gave me a bunch of melting inches as it fell....and shafted poor Greg....see, I don't have the good grace to not rub it in, lol. Just under the weekend weather lady in Atl that called the Blizzard the Friday before. She is my all time weather hero..... I've been lucky enough to walk behind the greats, lol.

This line from the RAH afd made me laugh
Still some of the
soundings suggest the profiles will have some steep lapse rates and
nature some how finds a way so while the it should be the exception,
wouldn`t be surprised that the clouds become galciated and a few
snow flakes mix in. Giv

I’d honestly watch any bands that develop after any first band of precip, that first might serve to cool off the low levels/surface, that happened with my December 1st flizzard all though I did see stuff mix in the first one, the 2nd one was all light snow, here’s what I was working with with the precip from 2 different models 6267E476-2473-442A-9969-95F668AEC265.jpeg8BED98AE-AA9C-43F6-9CEA-593502F588B4.jpeg

?Be on squint alert ??

After watching this snowstorm in the NE US, we all look like total peasants hoping for a couple random flakes tonight.
I just want to see a Carolina Crusher again someday, around here I've come to accept a few flakes as a win. RDU hasn't even had 10" total in a winter since 2003-04, which seems statistically unlikely to happen when our climo is about 6".
