Maybe a trend towards a December 17’? Someone post some comparisons here. Wave developing along a frontal passage. Terrible setup for SC but good for most everybody else on this board. Even NC
Gotta say pattern screams NC MTN snow, all of Tennessee, and north Georgia. And NC foothills if your ok with just scattered wind snow. At least we are still in the game, have seen far far worse

That model is incapable of showing winter weather for GA and the Carolina's outside the mountains.
There's some of the gefs that are getting closer with the trailing energy on Christmas and shortly after. We would have to have perfect timing to get that wave in before the cold leaves

Man, it's too bad that we can't get these two waves to phase.
It's 150 hours out. They still might. Would probably cut, though, given the LW trough position.
From the model look, I think that it either phases, and becomes an anafront, or gets cut off which I bet is due to the Euro bias, and gets held in the SW. Edit: The GFS cuts it off too.

This is a good sign.
at worst I could see some flurries as a possibility, especially if you get a GFS like solution with the UL trough further south, snowflakes on Christmas is a win for sure, but the model agreement here is to good, watch them diverge soon over the next few days
