Natural and World events ( non political stuff )

So the Ohio H5N1 human case actually had respiratory symptoms and was hospitalized. He recovered.

What happened to all the news about drones and orbs from a couple months ago? Are they not being sighted anymore?

The President has claimed it was approved government flights since he took office

All these people on Facebook talking about they will never fly again

Maybe finally ticket prices will come down 😜 over an hour security line at Atlanta in October. Worst I had ever seen

I mean an already understaffed vital agency just became even more understaffed , it’s more dangerous than it was that much is true

Meh I'd still put it against driving any day... And today "almost" an incident is making news. Nothing even happened the plane just went around and landed

It’s certainly still safer yes, but there is an argument to be made it’s become a little unsafer… stats will tell the story as the years go on what difference is made

Like the DC plane crash and Philly were even related to ATC... They weren't. DC was because the helicopter pilot was an idiot for whatever reason. Nothing to do with ATC

There is zero common theme between all these incidents is the issue. If it was all ATC I would agree but it's not

Tragically it appears two folks have passed from their injuries.
The ship was drifting backward with no power due to an outage. Note where the stern and bow are. So, it didn’t intend to go toward the Brooklyn Bridge.

Has anyone seen any recent (2025) updates on atmospheric water vapor after the Tonga volcanic eruption in 2022? I seem to remember some suggestions the impact (if any) would fade away after a few years. Locally 2022 and 2024 would have been the dryest years on record if not for freak one-off tropical flooding.

“We’ve never seen anything like it,” said Luis Millán, an atmospheric scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. He led a new study examining the amount of water vapor that the Tonga volcano injected into the stratosphere, the layer of the atmosphere between about 8 and 33 miles (12 and 53 kilometers) above Earth’s surface.

In the study, published in Geophysical Research Letters, Millán and his colleagues estimate that the Tonga eruption sent around 146 teragrams (1 teragram equals a trillion grams) of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere – equal to 10% of the water already present in that atmospheric layer. That’s nearly four times the amount of water vapor that scientists estimate the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption in the Philippines lofted into the stratosphere."
