The period around the 28th is really catching my eye for severe weather.

Depends on where the ridge sets up. The gefs have the better ridging centered far enough NW of us that we are fairly normal.
But yeah april is going to be pretty warm
Interesting temp pattern in SC/SE GA with it being colder the further SW you go with coolest in SE GA:

Yep 65 here, mid 60s were not ruined today !!!
Maybe, but I don’t know how comparable it even can be since this had essentially no tropical component with it being pretty much pure cold core with two contrasting air masses leading up to it. This was to me just a fairly rare very far SE tracking cold core low. Instead of comparing to what it would have been like in May, I was actually thinking about what it may have been like in Dec-early March, when it conceivably could have produced a very rare deep SE/coastal SE snowstorm as 850s were only a few degrees above 0C during a good portion of this storm.
Fri night might be the first 60 degree low in a while 
Wow the NAM is truly doing horrible, it’s busted on temps significantly today 
Especially considering Euro ens cold bias, I think 60+ low is likely as of now.

Going higher than the consensus of model guidance on most non-wedge days in almost all locations is usually going to get the forecaster much closer to what verifies because the cold bias of consensus has been so obvious day after day after day, especially when there is no wedge.
Ignoring the always way too cold CMC ens, the Euro ens has for quite awhile had the worst cold bias.

Tomorrows forecast is kind of tough. Get enough clouds and east flow and we are stuck in the 50s, get the sun out and we are 10-15 degrees warmer
Well that’s awesome. AK vortex starting to show up on the OP euro , I know I say I want a torch but if that digs some way that could really cook us

Good point and thanks for the encouragement. I was looking more generally for the SE rather than just MBY. Regarding MBY, when cold bias is figured in, I'd have to add some degrees to this, unfortunately thus putting me AN.

Well bright side , assuming you have had the same pattern as me . March so far is average while the last 3 months have been below average , so we had a good run .
