It's only a divergence/departure-from-normal probability map ... we'll see some cooler than normal this summer ... probably when a 'cane decides it wants to do its thing and hide the sun ... posted the map just to get some happy faces given everything else today ... to be totally honest ... ?Wish we could save that map for July or august
FixedWish we could save that map for January and February
Hottest day of the year so far. High of 86.
I want a good snow after all this virus crap we deserve snow in December or January

Statistically from Raleigh south into Florida ( this doesnt hold true for places further west in Georgia and western nc/upstate sc. ) April- May are the driest months and sunniest. I don't know why this is, one explanation is it's still too stable and cool for real convective storms, and too warm for big rain-producing cold fronts. By the time you get to Richmond this no longer holds true with no such april dry period.Hope April is driER!

I was thinking you meant like you wanted snow now. Gotcha.

Surely the pattern will change up. It's been two years, and has 9 months to change.Next year right?

yeah I know for sure, you waited for your little snow storm that you got this year for quite a while. Everytime it threatened to snow I went to Charlotte this winter. The most we got was a half inch event.. Charleston did get flurries one night.Yea I don’t even want to think about winter. Too depressing. I feel like around this time every year I say next year has to be different.

It's absolutely awesome down here. it's worth missing some snow for sure and I'm a snow weenieAt least you are close to the ocean. Hurricane season is more fun. Plus Charleston is a fun town.

Hopefully we don’t. There’s enough problems to deal with already.Big question Is when will we have our first significant severe weather threat?

Ain't THAT the damn truth!!!!.Hopefully we don’t. There’s enough problems to deal with already.
Dang that’s warm for the middle of night in March. You see that usually in June and July. Interestingly I’m quite a bit cooler then your area. 62 currently.Forecast low here was 62, it’s dropped to 70 and has actually went back up to 72, definitely see a isolated 90 degree temp around here later
Personally I am cool with it. #1 we may have lurkers from those states #2 i wouldn't be opposed to growing the board footprint #3 its something besides coronavirus #4 could be a learning experience for some members. Fire it upWell since not in our area, but with not much else to do this afternoon/evening.. Any thoughts about a tread for the Midwest Severe later?
RDU so far hasn't got higher than 86, it looks like 88 forecast by the NWS was reasonable. Tomorrow we get one more chance. Fayetteville though looks poised to break 90, maybe your home too.Got about 1 hour left to touch 90
