Just noticed that none of the 3 GSP stations (GSP, AVL, CLT) have recorded a temp of 32 or below since 2/18. Pretty crazy when even AVL hasn't been below freezing in nearly 3 weeks!

Well if you don't use the 1981- 2010 climo its prob only a few above.

Very true. Our climate norms are extremely dated. In a few years these prolonged AN periods will be viewed as normal.

We were at 32F this morning.

The +12.7 is based on the 1990-2020 averages, so it would likely be +14F based on the prior.

March 1960 was -14 on 81-10 for us.. man keep warming March like this and it’s gon be -20 below average looking back at it

I haven’t seen the 1990-2020 climo switch yet on some sites. Still seeing 81-10. Local Mets still using the old climo data.

Read it switched in May 2021 but I haven’t seen that data used.

The NOAA website has been using the new normals for over a year at least, at least from my experience.
