May not be your standard -NAO, more east based. But the East Coast Cyclones are being Fed right back up into Canada and it keeps the whole process going until the end of the Run. Beautiful to see. Regardless of what the indices are showing we are getting some North Atlantic Help.

I noticed. We've had a stout north wind here with 850's near 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, I'm thinking down-sloping compression did the trick.

I had North winds at my location until about 12 PM before they shifted to the Northwest. My temp rose rapidly from 31.8F to 48.0F from 8:30 until noon, then just stopped and held steady after the wind shift.

I believe that was March 1960, snowed every Wednesday that month in North Carolina. I cannot think of a month like that during my 50 years.

This Thursday deal that helps suppresses the Sat potential is very interesting. Probably will just miss but impressive.

Thursday is actually looking close for coastal areas… temperatures under those returns in NENC on the NAM are in the mid-30’s Thursday evening

And the RGEM shows some light ZR in Eastern NC Thursday morning… precip on both has been trending west, it’ll probably still end up as a non-event but it still is interesting

Yes sir. I like seeing fantasy storms as much as everyone, but if the general pattern is good, they'll show up eventually.

1) Euro weeklies of today are by a good margin the coldest of the winter for the E US/SE US. Here’s week 3 H5:


2 It’s weenietime, folks! The 12Z CFS is cold dominated in the SE now though 2/13! The coldest period, which is exaggerated in areas with snowcover, is 2/1-13, when stupid cold takes over on some of these days. There are SE wintry events throughout the run with the SE highlight a Deep South Miller A/SE coastal 2/2-4 that brings snow as far southeast as the Gulf coast to the GA coast and south to Hogtown @pcbjr on the tail end of it! It buries areas of the Gulf coast states:










Ok, back to reality.
