Getting missed to my ESE would be a new low View attachment 69543View attachment 69544
WWA just got extended till 2 pm, temp still hovering around 32 and small icicles forming on the trees... I actually think the snow on the ground made a slight difference
About how much glaze (in nearest hundredths or 5 one hundredths of an inch) did everyone see today?
Had around 5 inches of snow, 0.10 of ice accrual this morning. Southern Mitchell county between Little Switzerland and Grassy CreekAbout how much glaze (in nearest hundredths or 5 one hundredths of an inch) did everyone see today? Not too many reports for me to go off of atm

Yeah I hear ya. Interesting storm for sure. Had 2-2.5 inches of snow from that initial band around 5PM then had about the same amount from 3AM-7AM then freezing rain commenced for about a hour or so.Thank you. Debating whether to make 2 separate maps for this particular storm, one for ice and one for IP/SN

What you think, .07ish or so? I'm not good with the ice accruals (not the best pics I know)

I'm with @Myfrotho704_ I saw a trace of sleet. Also are you going to wait until after tomorrow to make your map? Or are you not interested in tomorrowAbout how much glaze (in nearest hundredths or 5 one hundredths of an inch) did everyone see today? Not too many reports for me to go off of atm
Yes I'm the official Northern Coastal Plain weather reporter haha....sad really ?Nice pics! That seems like a reasonable guess, anything near to slightly below 0.1" doesn't seem too crazy. Thanks for this, lol you know how hard it is to get reliable snow/sleet reports in the northern coastal plain during most winter storms, even harder when there's ZR involved. Also helps when you're in the jackpot zone for the previous snowstorm and had some of the best low-level cold available in the area, so I have an idea for what the overall ceiling is around there.
Hmm so looks like ~0.05"?

Sweet. Yeah there was no ZR at all here in Mooresville.Yeah I'm gonna at least wait til tomorrow maybe even Monday if the trailing upper low that's attached to this system drops a little snow east of the mtns. I'll come back into this thread later & scour it for ZR & IP/SN totals. Every little bit helps especially when it comes to ZR

Can confirm this. We’re in Hillsvilee VA right now looking for a place to sled.@Webberweather53
I had 1/4 inch snow/sleet.
Maybe .02 Ice
This is my best guess!
Edit: I do know there was 3.5 inches of snow right on NC/Va. line Surry County/Carrol County Va. less than 5 miles from Mt. Airy
