Wintry Jan 27-28 Snow Potential Official Thread

I can't remember which winter it was, it was two or three years ago, but during that winter EVERY winter event overperformed relative to model guidance/forecast. It was uncanny. We are having the opposite this season. I hope we can break the streak on Sunday but I'm not so sure now.

40.8/39.9 .21 in the bucket.

That was 2017-2018. The December storm overperformed for north GA and west NC. The 1st January storm overperformed for areas further west. The second January storm overperformed over central NC. Then, there were a whole bunch of March storms.

I believe one also overperformed over coastal GA and the eastern Carolinas. Columbia has overperformed on sucking at winter weather.

How so? The storm is just beginning.
Brick it's 42 and raining, transition line nowhere in site yet, you are going to get 4 hrs snow if you're lucky and will lose the first to melting....no way those GFS totals verify. I'll do naked snow dive if I get 6" tonight.
