I would really pay closer attention to the forecasted snow depth maps to get a better idea
You gotta love the total weenie that Robert is… in his post earlier today, he said those areas can expect “a period of heavy chunks of wet concrete falling from the sky”… lol
They are helpful, especially in the east, but not sold they resolve the boundary layer like Kuchera does.
I was liking this amping up trend until the N/S backed off a bit on the current 18z run. Might see this thing tick NW on the euro

Closed off and going negative over northern bama.
Just gonna leave this here and come back for the 0z cycle, this will be a very mature deformation axis, pretty much textbook cold core conveyer through the southern Mid Atlantic, and it’s been warm, a rarity. Good luck everyone.

You have to wonder if the 18z gfs had some convective feedback issues with the way it bombed from 1007 near ATL to 996 near HKY then shot the sfc low almost east. I wanted to see the euro before I said much to make sure I wasn't going into weenie mode
man this setup really interests me with that comma head/deformation zone, shows up nicely on the euro, that’s what I’m banking on here and what many should watch, with a strengthening and formidable 1000/999mb mid latitude cyclone 
Thundersnow, heavy rates , all that jazz possible here

Too far south imo. Likely gonna be a massive sleet fest for a good while there
