That ZR line keeps ticking north each run on the GFS
His wife just had child number 3. He's been out since the birth last week. He is making videos on Facebook.Who is this goober? And WTF is CJ?? He’s on his way to the orchard!
Could be the finger precip we see during El Niño winters. This is most certainly not a Niña like storm system.Feel like this is the GFS trending to a front end band View attachment 104616
Even pre transfer low ticked further S after two runs of nearly identical placementOr I guess more accurately, the southern low took over instead of the northern low dominating for as long

So that's the first run of the OP GFS that has not ticked further North in a while. That's a start.
Thats a sight for sore eyes. That mositure on the back side will at least give a dusting for us in central and north alabama
Yep I know this sounds like wishcasting but I honestly believe the Euro wins out as far as globals go on this one. It has been the most consistent IMOView attachment 104610Y'all can take what this model says into consideration but this thing is pure hot garbage. There's a reason GSP isn't looking at it.
That's the key for us RDU folks. It's quicker starting the frozen/freezing precip and moves the plain rain out quicker (after the switch over).
Exactly my thoughts watching this, is it's just not picking up on how cold it's gonna beGFS is really struggling trying to accurately depict the CAD.
The nam seems to be favoring this a bit it seems. Which I hope is the caseIf somehow we could get the ULL to dig deeper and transfer the low quicker it would definitely help North AL and GA to get a decent thump.
The 12z actually ticked south, but wasn’t as significant. Maybe a trend? So that's the first run of the OP GFS that has not ticked further North in a while. That's a start.
I went from maybe an inch and a half in goofy last run to half a foot this run, which is roughly what the euro had.
It’s amazing that the euro has a generational ice storm from Lexington to Camden but the GFS is like ????It’s the GFS alone now.
GFS (amped)
Vs
Euro, CMC, Icon, and you mise well say the NAM cause we knew where that was heading. (Less amped, colder)
Yeah, It will be interesting to see how the models play out with the snow south of I-40. The GFS is the only one that is real bearish over the upstate and north GA.It’s the GFS alone now.
