Y'all can take what this model says into consideration but this thing is pure hot garbage. There's a reason GSP isn't looking at it.

GFS is really struggling trying to accurately depict the CAD.
I’ll take this small trend at this point.
Feel like this is the GFS trending to a front end band

Could be the finger precip we see during El Niño winters. This is most certainly not a Niña like storm system.

I’m not focusing on precipitation types on GFS. More paying attention to the trend and it seems like it’s taking baby steps towards the euro

Baby steps, thats what we need so that 3 days from now its a true southern slider.....almost all the 18Z's are further south over the mid south but end up cutting in the same place over NC...

Thats a sight for sore eyes. That mositure on the back side will at least give a dusting for us in central and north alabama

Yep I know this sounds like wishcasting but I honestly believe the Euro wins out as far as globals go on this one. It has been the most consistent IMO

That's the key for us RDU folks. It's quicker starting the frozen/freezing precip and moves the plain rain out quicker (after the switch over).
The Triad is back in the game. Every positive tick east brings the snow totals southward.
If somehow we could get the ULL to dig deeper and transfer the low quicker it would definitely help North AL and GA to get a decent thump.

Feel like the GFS is starting to get a clue about the surface low transfering further south but expect it should make adjust further.

I went from maybe an inch and a half in goofy last run to half a foot this run, which is roughly what the euro had.

LP transitions and forms around Jacksonville, NC and moves up in the sound area towards Elizabeth City. Definitely more south and eastward. Not a lot but it's there. Need the GEFS to lead now and further east.

It’s amazing that the euro has a generational ice storm from Lexington to Camden but the GFS is like ????
I mean the GFS ends up with this lol. I’m perfectly fine having small eastern adjustments as we get our wave onshore tomorrow.
Yeah, It will be interesting to see how the models play out with the snow south of I-40. The GFS is the only one that is real bearish over the upstate and north GA.
