It already has hurricane force winds. But it's not mixed to the surface

I texted my daughter just this yesterday. At a minimum, gas prices will rise for a few weeks.
 
So the first target point, the Isle of Pines. Does Ida go just west of the island as modeled. Directly over? Or does she slip just to the east?

I'll go with a direct hit.
 
Hopefully NOLA can be spared with a east of the city landfall closer to florida as much as possible and miss the eddy altogether and hit the cooler patch. Unlikely for now tho prob 10% chance.
 
Should the levee system work, we really need to use the savings to protect NYC, OBX, Myrtle, Miami, Texas, just think how much we could prevent in cost. $$ esp for NC the highway washes away every time.
