GFS has actually been pretty consistent with Arctic air spilling into the lower 48 late next week. Where it goes after that is the question I reckon.

Kinda looks like Feb 73 with the placement of heaviest snow while N AL and N GA get screwed.

Shift the blue colors 50 miles north and roll with it...

Pretty stout -AO going strong into February. With a rise of the PNA in that time frame it's probably a good window of opportunity for those further south.

Looks like a genuine cold front with some genuine cold air from the great white north. Not sold on the snow chances just yet. May just be frontal wetness unless a low system forms here and takes a slow ride

Agree with ATLwxfan though, If that true cold hits the gulf coast (like somewhat depicted) there could be a spark

In my mind these are the looks you watch the most closely. The GFS sniffed this out a few days ago and then lost it. Now it’s back. Not saying that this is going to happen but there is a signal. About the strongest one we’ve had these parts.
