I do miss there local on the 8s that was tied in to the local NWS we dont get that here anymore and there 10 day forecast ahhhhhh the 90s were great.The weather channel is garbage. Try weatherbug or definitely your local NWS.

Less QPF because the track is further south, but better looking for CLT/RDU because the warm nose isn’t as stoutWorse run for a lot of folks, since less QPF, though it grades out a little better for CLT/RDU.

Yeah, it’s truly hard to win with winter scenarios down here. I’d say head to Maggie or even Boone (maybe the upslope helps wring out flakes from thin air worst case scenario. If you somehow get skunked just enjoy the mini vacation anyway. If you stay home it’ll likely just rain unfortunately. I’m not trying to be neg re your backyard just projecting my own frustration I’m afraid?That’s what I’m worried about. I don’t think temps will be a issue. But I could actually see the moisture not making it into the mountains. Lack of moisture only thing I could see going wrong
