Wintry February 6th-7th

I wonder if the NAM catches on to a front end burst, that’s what the globals/ensembles/rgem really show
 
It’s actually nice to see the long range HRRR doing that at this range .. past few storms the HRRR long range has always gotten our spirits high but always let us down in the end ... maybe the reverse is happening here
 
Wow 925s also are really good around hour 39. It's really rate driven at that point to get the temps at the surface as close to freezing as possible. Thermal profiles aloft seemed to have trended well for this event. Wonder if the surface temps will follow and the rain/snowline trends further south.
 
For the Atlanta/North Georgia crew you want to see temps continue to trend colder. We’ve seen that tonight from most models. Great trends that if they continue, get the northern ATL burbs in the game for accumulation potential. Nobody is out of it yet though. Mountains cash in really nice if the NAM is right. Looks like similar totals to the event last February up there
