It certainly looks like a good chance at a colder pattern is setting up, I just hope it is not as progressive and the blocking that has appeared on the ensembles will come to fruition this time. With the active southern stream I think we will be in business.

We're one "good" event away from this winter being solidly above average snowfall-wise across the state of NC. I'd like to see the statewide mean come up to about 10" for the winter, the December storm put us at 5 and change w/ the addition of several minor events in the mountains the state mean is currently somewhere around 6" which is close to the long-term median.

I do this every year ... it hasn't worked yet, but oh what the hell ... 
well then
Every run has brung more and more precip and has slowly come north, I don’t know if I’m comfortable with that, ridge has been trending stronger off eastern seaboard and that western ridge has flatten alot 
Same ol same ol. Not a look you want east of the mountains and barely a look you want to the west. MehFV3 at 183 may have something coming
