Wintry December 4-7 Winter Precip Chance

Although I know where this pattern I’m heading ( an eventual south East ridge for a little while) we still cannot be picky about the type of events we are getting especially if it’s in early December. Our best chances for snowfall Climo wise is usually later into January and February ... gotta love the look right now of the models slowly jumping back with this storm .. positive stuff but a few flurries would be a big DUB

If the icon is right wherever temps drop to the mid 30s, it’s a paste bomb

It's a promising sign, for sure. I know people say the ICON has a warm surface temp bias... but I'm not familiar enough with the model to say for sure.

Regardless, it's the first model run I've seen demonstrating that this setup could produce heavy enough precip/amplify enough to give (heavy!) snow somewhere. Just need these trends to keep coming steady.

I've been saying for a couple of weeks, I won't get excited until we get a model on board, well we go folks! Let's reel this in!

Gfs is similar, just a bit to quick/to East with the energy so far 375AA421-C281-41E3-A2A6-5C582C03069C.gif
