Might have been better (storm strength wise) if it was delayed some into the afternoon. But it'll still be nice to get rain at midday in August.I'm having doubts about any severe weather (over this way) today. Guess I'll see how this first batch of rain plays out
Would be even better if I wasn't at work lol. Would be a great day to sit at home with a fresh cup of java and watch the rain fall don't get those often in August that's for sureMight have been better (storm strength wise) if it was delayed some into the afternoon. I’ve never seen anything like it. This has to be one of the most epic heat waves in recorded history.Excessive heat warnings as far as the eye can see for thr Deep South. ?
Someone pointed out on the radio that after the Tongan volcano scientist said we would warm over the next few years due to the massive amount of water vapor it put into the atmosphere. I'm guessing this is what happened. For me personally, it hasn't been that far from normal. Sure we've had hot stretches but it wouldn't make a list in my books.I’ve never seen anything like it. I think it’s mostly been Central GA and points South.Someone pointed out on the radio that after the Tongan volcano scientist said we would warm over the next few years due to the massive amount of water vapor it put into the atmosphere. It’s pretty wild. I’ve been following New Orleans and Houston and they’ve been topping out at near/above 100 every day for the past week or so, and that looks to continue for the next week. With high DPs, they’re looking at daily heat indexes topping out in the 110-115 range and dipping only into the 90s at night, which is pretty miserable. No relief!I’ve never seen anything like it. Still way below even last year here on 100s so it's not everywhere
People would die if we had 1936 again... 65 days over 100. This is nothing
Waterspout?
I'd guess that would be likely with those velocities.Waterspout?
