Another gift from our dear friend 2020.
They have been in the Raleigh area since the 70s I believe. During the flooding from Matthew, it was horrifying to see the floating islands of fire ants!Had them for at least 20 years here north of the Albemarle Sound.
So far, I am very pleased with it. But having not ever had any sort of station before, I don't have anything to compare it with. I like Weatherbug's lightning display better, but I like all of the data the Tempest provides. The only thing I really question are the rainfall totals. But allegedly, the software is upgraded frequently, and accuracy improves over time. Also, there are lots of Weatherflow stations around, and you can access the data from them. Anyway, I like it a lot.No. Unfortunately I have a 5-in-1 from AcuRite. Three months after I bought it they stopped support for the WiFi part and said if we wanted that we would have to buy a new system to go with our station if we wanted to report online. That would have been another $129.99. I’m looking at buying the Tempest.
?Just turn into a damn hurricane already. Gezz
If you call for a outbreak I want a damn outbreak of hurricanes not waves. Yes it’s early but weather is boring right now and tracking waves is like watching Korean ladies play golf.
Going on vacation Sept 13-17, so hoping for a brief lull then. You can have the next 3 weeks, however. If you call for a outbreak I want a damn outbreak of hurricanes not waves. Yes it’s early but weather is boring right now and tracking waves is like watching Korean ladies play golf.
YouTube TV is great IMO, only downside for me personally is that I can only watch the Braves when they're on Fox South/Carolinas (not southeast). Unlimited DVR is very nice.Who streams TV here? Directv and I are on the outs and will be breaking up 9/10. I've thought about going with dish network but to me the video quality from streaming is the best you can find
I haven't had a tv provider in 4 years.Who streams TV here? Directv and I are on the outs and will be breaking up 9/10. I've thought about going with dish network but to me the video quality from streaming is the best you can find

I started to go with the "Flow" back in January, but opted for the Ambient WS-2000 with remote monitoring because it had a separate monitor as well. You should try the red rocket phone! It’s sure to get a rise out of you!Testing the RedPocket phone service tomorrow on i77 to see how it does!! Just testing, Wilkes/Yadkin/Iredell/Surry counties. It’s $19/mo vs $29.88/mo with Walmart family mobile. Let’s see which is better
Yes, you can choose what time frame you want and export a "csv" file.Does this log history at all in like an excel or txt file?

Not gonna lie, this MJO wave that's currently over the western hemisphere looks a lot like this one from mid-late August & September 1979.
The Atlantic went onto produce five storms at once on September 1, 1979.
I made this plot in python and plotted the Real-time Multivariate MJO (RMM), Velocity Potential MJO (VPM), & Outgoing Longwave Radiation MJO Indices (OMI)

Sure would be fun.... just sayinGeorgia would get hammered in that track even northern Georgia would have high winds. Looks like smaller version of hurricane opal. That knocked power out for weeks in northern Georgia and lots of down trees!!
Has my vote.
That or Yellowstone. ?Has my vote.
Nah, Meteor. Give me something legit to track. That or Yellowstone. ?
If the meteor hits your area that’s a quick tracking like hey it’s the..... dead.Nah, Meteor. Give me something legit to track.

Yellowstone is a slower death so it might be better to track. ?![]()
