It just started to sleet in Goldsboro.
That bodes well for me being in the southern Upstate. Currently 33 here. Makes me think I will get a minimum of a dusting if not up to 1 inch as advertised in our Advisory. Its been snowing pretty decent in athens for 30 minutes but not sticking
Reinforcements are coming from the SWSnow has slowed, dusting. 27/16
We got a good coating on elevated surfaces. Not as much runoff now as we had earlier today, but its still melting at immediate ground level for now.Interested in any prelim ZR reports along the Crystal Coast, looked like some light icing this morning, moderate returns now and this is really the beginning for that area.
We must practically be neighbors.View attachment 109327Oh come on.
Not unexpected, but setting up just a bit too far east for my location.
View attachment 109332This pretty much says it all about winter life in the ATL.
I mean, NWS ice warning is pretty strongly worded...Now I’m seriously concerned about ice accrual in our coastal areas along the Wilmington and New bern corridor. The ice totals could definitely bust on the higher end.
