You can see clearly on composite reflectivity where the northern edge of the heaviest snow will likely be.

This stuff forming on the Lee side of the mountains is encouraging. Need it to fill in and tug eastward later.

What radar is this? It’s showing up on TWC’s radar, but I’m not seeing this on RadarScope or COD nexrad radar.
EDIT: TWC radar attached below. Not seeing anything reaching the ground btw.

I'm smack down in the middle of ITB raleigh and i've seen a little bit of pixie dust begin to fall. either that or my father's eyesight genes have caught up with me

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for portions of East
Central Georgia, see product for full details. In summation, light
snow accumulations possible for east central portions of the
forecast area. An outside chance for a heavier band of snow does
exist for areas in the central portions of the CWA, but not
enough confidence to extend the Advisory further west at this time
but may happen with future updates. For portions of the
southeastern CWA, light rain could transition to light freezing
rain and freezing drizzle with ice accumulations from a glaze to a
few hundredths of an inch causing some slight spots on the
roadways, especially bridges and overpasses, and very light
accumulations of elevated surfaces.

First time I have seen the heavier bands showing up in the west, any model showing it back west has been light bands up till now. That along with the radar showing the moisture flow back in TN should be good news later this afternoon/evening for the mountains, foothills, and down into the upstate.

I notice on that it seems to increase snow in seva/ne nc and it expands further SW. Would that mean its possible totals might be underdone in central NC?

Sure. It’s possible. Looks like the main axis of precip won’t get that far north though. We shall see.

Storm Shield app. It’s definitely over-sensitive. I just use it to see the overview and use Radar Scope for accuracy.

and GSP say I their discussion that they are going with 10-13:1 ratios… I really believe this is a deal and the soundings support it, that we should see 17-20:1 ratios
