From 54 to 39 in 25 minutes.
Front just went through...strong winds with a change in direction from SW to W...temps starting to fall
56 to 41 here in 30, incredible

Still 59 here. Was around 70 earlier this afternoon in CHS. High tomorrow is gonna struggle to get out of the 30s in a lot of the area.

Light snow shower and now light flurries moments ago. Hanging at 33 degrees for the past hour.

I just got home from the in-laws and my yard is missing a 15 foot inflateable reindeer. ? Nowhere to be found. Tie downs were snapped in two. Hell of a front. Merry pooping Christmas.

Definitely possible, low levels are even more moist further south, if I was you I’d be feeling pretty good ATM over a chance of some snow falling

58 to 38 in less than an hour. Now that’s a cold front! Still pouring rain.. wind had to be gusting 40-50mph when front came thru Triad

I swear I'm in some mini-microclimate being up against Chilhowee that allows this to happen. My 15 yr old now has 2 white Christmas to brag about.
Some upsloping going on in parts of the valley I think.. you all have more than 'the usual spots' on the Plateau that do well in these situations.
Just started mixing sleet into the rain in Lewisville.
We went from 56 to 38 over the past 1 1/2 hours.
The dogs weren't too happy about their final nightly business.
Toto, we're not in Florida anymore.
I wonder what the morning will bring??

Friend texted and said snow in Lewisville.
Hrrr continues to lose our snow showers in nc and sc, hoping for a miracle but not as sure now. Guess morning radar will tell the tale. Ugh.
I wanna bet there’s at least isolated flurries around these areas in the morning

Getting another round of flurries now. Thanks to the cold temperatures they are sticking to the back deck
Another forcing agent for tonights flurries/snow showers has been some low level CAPE (0-3km)

Yes, we had about 10 minutes of light snow mixed with some sleet.
It was enough for me to declare it a white Christmas for our first Christmas here in NC.
It looks like it's moved out now.
We barely caught the edge of the changeover here.
The deck looks like it's going to be an icy mess in the morning.
New experiences for the Florida boy.
Nice. Still rain here, but hoping it's close.
I have been getting hosed by these snow showers/flurries from the NE and to my SW all night. ??

NAM might get the warm nose right and have a better handle on the upper low tomorrow, but the HRRR had had a better handle on the backside changeovers here the last 2 events. Had a long period of sleet here that did not amount to anything but getting a decent mod snow now. Might only last another 30 min. Not Gatlinburg but I will take it ?
