I like Jersey Mike's with Firehouse a close second. The others are alright. (haven't tried Publix or HT yet)

Actually worked at a Subway back in high school. (as a "Sandwich Artist") 😏
The pepper relish at Jersey Mikes sets them over the top for me.

Who do y’all like best for sub sandwiches?

Jersey Mike’s, Firehouse, Jimmy John’s, Blimpie, Quizno’s, Schlotzky’s, Publix, Subway, or something else?

My current favorite is Firehouse.
Jersey Mikes all day long! Not even close

If you ever are coming through Roanoke, All Sports Cafe has great wings and their WhoDat and Tennessee Bourbon wings are probably the best I've had anywhere . They are fried and then thrown on the grill just long enough to get the grill lines. Just amazing.

@Shaggy I know you’re a foodie like myself. This is how to prepare a BI Porkchop. 😀 Salad? What salad. 😂

Has anyone tried the Cookout version of “taco bell” called Taco Roos? They have two locations in N.C.

Quizno’s when I had one. I read they drained their franchise owners with excessive fees and costs and ran most out of business.

Quizno's is millennial-gen core memory at this point. The kids don't know what they missed. I never cared for Firehouse because the whole restaurant smelled like sour pickles and we didn't get Jersey Mikes until after Quinzno's mostly shut down.

The one they tried to open in wilmington died before it ever opened and then the nixed it and turned it into a cook out. Which idk how much sense it makes when there was already one on the opposite side of UNCW on the same road lol. And then a third one further down south college road

Where is this? Smithfield’s?

That was at Goolsby's in Augusta.

As much as I'd like to go to NC more, it somehow ends up never being in the cards even with WNC being a 3-3.5ish hour drive. It probably won't be this year where I do "go to NC," but I have plans to go to a beach outside of Georgia for the first time in 10 years.

Find you a gas station with a bunch of grannies cooking breakfast and lunch in a random small town. Some of the best food you'll find anywhere.
Loving Road quick stop between Blue Ridge and Blairsville. Best breakfast and lunch around.

Like that gas station in Roxboro, right down from palace point! Best, giant breakfast biscuits in the world.
Can’t remember the name?? Think it was in a Citgo, years ago

Cheddar Bay biscuits at Red Lonster, 🔥🔥🔥

Ppl are gonna judge me but I'll be completely honest.

Gas station chicken hits sometimes lol
No judgement here. Some of the best chicken I've ever had was at some random gas station outside of Goldsboro awhile back.

I've also had some great fried chicken at get togethers after funerals. There's a stereotype I've heard about Baptists and great southern food, which I believe is strongly justified BTW.

I used to stop at a gas station outside of Greenville, NC years ago and get the best fried gizzards and livers. Yep, Texas pete packets, ate the whole container on the way home back to the double R.
