You can learn something new every day. Still mid 40's here. Hoping for ice needles, ice worms, ice pellets...I can do without zr. I've seem my fill in the past. Looking like a lot of snow behind the sleet to the west. That's encouraging.
Looks like a little bit of light snow now in bluff Park. I thought I was crazy, I looked at NOAA website and it's reporting the light snow in Bessemer and hueytown.

I HOPE MY RELIEF CAN GET TO WORK. I GOT A 33 MILE TRIP FROM MY CURRENT LOCATION ON THE RADAR PIC BACK TO THE SW EDGE OF SHELBY COUNTY IF IT WOULD EVEN BE POSSIBLE...
IM BEGINNING TO THINK THIS OVER PREFORMED AGAIN BECAUSE ALL THE LOCAL METS WE SAYING "POSSIBLE SPORADIC TRAVVEL ISSUES, BUT NOTHING MAJOR" OUTSIDE THE WINTER STORM WARNING AREAS... SEVERAL OF THOSE COUNTIES ARE NOW BASICALLY CLOSED.

It appears the freezing rain starts at around hwy 61 and I 20. That's going to make things rough for the Westside commuters to Atlanta.

Light glaze of ice on the deck here in Holly Springs. Light spit of precip here and there. Radar appears to be drying up. Station observations support freezing drizzle, perhaps. Pavement seems fine- just wet

Same here in Woodstock. 31, Little bit of ice and maybe a couple sleet pellets on cars and metal surfaces. Roads just wet. No precip.
26 at the house but I don't think we got anything but plain rain. I hit one slick spot but the main roads are so salted they were fine. There is a metric crap ton of nasty snow flying around on 75 from the trucks.

Just below freezing here with ice forming on elevated surfaces. Some sleet pellets frozen into it but none falling currently.
Definitely got a good glaze on everything.

Moisture is haulin’ ass out of here. Only hope is maybe the arctic plunge later tonight and tomorrow may act to squeeze out some fairy dust size flakes

we have 15 degrees, light, fluffy snow falling, and a sheet of ice on the driveway.....everything is white and BEAUTIFUL!

My house is a solid sheet of ice. Took a minute to get the door open.
A few places are reporting 32 this morning except Henderson which is reporting 30. Not sure that is correct, it if is, they are going to have some minor issues there but that seems low

Roxboro had about three hours of freezing fog at 30. I would imagine that could cause some issues.
Looking through an ice covered window at my snow/sleet/ice covered backyard. Fun storm. Onto the next one!
