Pretty impressive ULL on the Euro, I guess severe would be an issue, maybe some hail? I'm not too convinced on any backside snow like it's showing but who knows, dynamic systems do some strange things.
Some much needed rain though, maybe.....
Man that ULL is taking it's time on the Euro

That frontal system may very well become closed off and become an ULL because - there's likely going to be a ridge east/ northeast of the system, and a ridge building behind the system causing it to become closed off. I'm not really surprised what the 12z Euro shows of that system. The 12z GFS came close to closing off the low. Still lots of time to go.
Well that was interesting Euro run, ULL that took 4 days to journey across the SE and still lingering lol

12z euro screams a rather higher severe wx threat for late Friday into Saturday morning lower Ohio valley down to lower miss valley that run alone has winds backed. So a decent tornado threat could be unfolding till things go linear

It seems reasonable that when the pattern does change late month that initially we get a western dump before it translates east
Eps mean stepping toward the cutoff idea

Is it too much to believe the Euro is showing at least wintry mixing potential with the next weekend ULL for parts of LA and MS?

Not at all, we've got a snowstorm here in deep south Alabama on Dec 7th about 3 years ago. So anything is possible

Actually my highest snow total was when a ULL went through December 11, 2008. I picked up 5.5 inches from that event IMBY in southern LA.

Highly unlikely but I would believe that much more than areas east of the apps getting snow. Areas west of the apps typically get snow first
