@Broken024 will drink his own piss if that makes it into day 4.Boy that cold shot coming into the lakes at D10 on the Euro looked legit

I would plan on another frost or 2 but I think we are done with freezesI just want to know if I can go ahead and re-plant my lantanas now since the last freeze killed them. Are we really going to see another frost/freeze in the Triangle?

I remember probably 15 years ago it got down into the low 40s at night in North Georgia in late May.. sometimes in July and August it gets down in the 50s so it's not that big of a deal.Cold always has been lasting longer and longer throughout the years ... we used to get warm in March .. now it’s late April .. and this year well you see View attachment 81571
Those days are done, old -NAOs was guaranteed snow in winter, now they don’t work any more, cold patterns don’t work in the east anymoreI remember probably 15 years ago it got down into the low 40s at night in North Georgia in late May.. sometimes in July and August it gets down in the 50s so it's not that big of a deal.
Ha ok.Those days are done, old -NAOs was guaranteed snow in winter, now they don’t work any more, cold patterns don’t work in the east anymore
That setup in Feb is a classic example, -NAO ridge pushed our cold west in a way, we suckHa ok.
That some burn sh*tload of calories in one day type weather

They are REALLY sensitive to cold! I bet 38-40 would burn/kill the foliage, but they should resprout from the roots!I just want to know if I can go ahead and re-plant my lantanas now since the last freeze killed them. Are we really going to see another frost/freeze in the Triangle?
Hrrr mixes out the BL past 2pm so yeah very summerish type day with the addition of steep mid level lapse rates and 30-40kts of 0-6km shear, microburst threat might be underrated especially if we mix out the PBL and steepen low levels lapse ratesTomorrow looks like a summer day on the HRRR with the initial convection then propagation on OFBs
Mine are the miss huff variety. I know they come back after winter, but I dont know if they survive a freeze right after planting them. They are REALLY sensitive to cold! I bet 38-40 would burn/kill the foliage, but they should resprout from the roots!
You need to get some that might be perennial, like “ miss huff” and ‘ chapel hill yellow’
Miss huff has survived 10 years in my GSP garden, CHY, 6 years! They die to the ground and come back from the roots
It's fine here I'm sure there are others wondering about plant damage after the "typical" cold shotMine are the miss huff variety. I know they come back after winter, but I dont know if they survive a freeze right after planting them.
Mods, also move this to the home and garden section. I dont want to clog the thread.
Lol trying to repeat last April with a similar pattern, and many tried calling off severe wx after this week View attachment 81645
That new budget wouldn't be able to put a dent into what's needed to rehabilitate that thing...Make the GFS great again.
